A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Tonasket was held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 7:00 pm in the City Hall, Tonasket, Washington.

 

Those present were Mayor Pro-Tem Fancher, Councilmembers Griffin, Maden, Ramsey and Vugteveen who joined in the flag salute.

                                                                        Ordinance #676

There was much discussion on Ordinance #676. Ordinance #676 would establish salary ranges for all full time City employees currently employed and those with a hire date subsequent to January 2010.   After further discussion, it was moved by Maden and seconded by Vugteveen to adopt Ordinance #676 with the addition of a new section 2. Motion carried. Councilmember Ramsey voted no.

                                                                        Resolution 2009-13

It was moved by Maden and seconded by Griffin to adopt Resolution 2009-13.  Councilmembers Maden and Griffin voted yes, Councilmembers Ramsey and Vugteveen voted no, Mayor Pro-Tem Fancher voted yes, breaking the tie, Motion carried. Resolution 2009-13 adopts a Longevity Plan for persons hired after January 1, 2010.

                                                                        Ordinance #675

It was moved by Maden and seconded by Vugteveen to adopt Ordinance #675 as read. Motion carried. Councilmember Ramsey voted no. Ordinance #675 adopts the budget and salaries for 2010.

                                                                        Mayor’s Budget Message

The Mayor’s Budget message was submitted.

                                                                        CDBG Discussion

There was discussion on the recent Community Development Block Grant survey. There were questions from the Council regarding getting survey information from persons that were not home or had refused. There were a few homes that needed to be visited again and Councilmember Vugteveen stated she would go back to those homes to try and get the surveys completed.
